Sohbet Robotlarının Akademik Yetersizliği Olan Bireylerin İletişim Deneyimlerine Etkisi

The aim of this study is to examine the interactions of students who are not diagnosed with learning disabilities but who have problems in learning the course, who have low academic skills and low performance in the cour-se, with artificial intelligence-supported chat robots in the context of digital communication technologies. The study aimed to reveal which communica-tion methods individuals with learning disabilities prefer to solve the prob-lems they face in daily life, their experiences while interacting with chatbots, the positive emotions they feel and the difficulties they face in these interac-tions. A case study was selected as the research model and interviews were conducted with 21 participants. In order to investigate how chatbots are used as an alternative, the participants were asked to communicate with artificial intelligence and their opinions were taken. According to the fin-dings, some of the participants stated that chatbots gave them the opportu-nity to ask questions freely and gave them a sense of trust and happiness. Some participants emphasized that chatbots can sometimes be limiting, expressing the difficulties in reaching the desired level of accuracy and the difficulties experienced in emotional issues. In the recommendations section of the research, it was shared that artificial intelligence-supported chatbots should be developed in a way that can respond to the needs of individuals faster and more accurately and improve the user experience.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğrenme güçlüğü tanısı konmamış; ancak dersi öğrenmede problem yaşayan, derste düşük akademik beceri ve düşük per-formans gösteren öğrencilerin, dijital iletişim teknolojileri bağlamında, yapay zekâ destekli sohbet robotları ile etkileşimlerini incelemektir. Araştırma, bu bireylerin günlük yaşamda karşılaştıkları sorunları çözmek için hangi ileti-şim yöntemlerini tercih ettiklerini, sohbet robotlarıyla etkileşim kurarken yaşadıkları deneyimleri, hissettikleri olumlu duyguları ve bu etkileşimlerde karşılaştıkları zorlukları ortaya koymayı amaçlamıştır. Araştırma modeli olarak durum çalışması seçilmiş, 21 katılımcı ile görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiş-tir. Sohbet robotlarının bir alternatif olarak nasıl kullanıldığını araştırmak amacıyla katılımcılardan yapay zekâ ile iletişim kurmaları istenmiş ve görüş-leri alınmıştır. Bulgular doğrultusunda katılımcıların bir kısmı, sohbet robot-larının kendilerine özgürce soru sorma imkânı sunduğunu, güven ve mutlu-luk duygusu verdiğini ifade etmiştir. Bazı katılımcılar ise arzu edilen doğru-luk seviyesine ulaşmada yaşanan zorluklar ile duygusal konularda yaşanan zorlukları ifade ederek, sohbet robotlarının bazen sınırlayıcı olabileceğini vurgulamıştır. Yapay zekâ destekli sohbet robotlarının bireylerin ihtiyaçları-na daha hızlı ve isabetli yanıt verebilecek şekilde geliştirilmesi, kullanıcı de-neyimini iyileştirebilmesi, araştırmanın önerileri kısmında paylaşılmıştır.
