This policy aims to establish ethical and scientific standards regarding the use of artificial intelligence in submitted manuscripts. This policy will be updated as necessary in line with developments.

This policy is subject to the ethical principles and publication policies of Mevzu – Journal of Social Sciences.

Artificial intelligence tools may only be used to check submitted articles for grammar, spelling errors and stylistic consistency.

Mevzu – Journal of Social Sciences undertakes not to use artificial intelligence tools at any stage of the article review process.

Points to Consider Regarding the Use of Artificial Intelligence:

1. Transparency and Accountability: Where artificial intelligence has been used, its contribution must be clearly stated. Transparency must be maintained in every process where artificial intelligence is used. Mevzu – Journal of Social Sciences will include an author’s declaration on the title page of published articles.
2. Accuracy: Content generated by artificial intelligence must be verified.
3. Ownership: All responsibility for data produced as a result of the use of artificial intelligence rests with the author.
4. Impartiality: Authors must adhere to the principle of impartiality at every stage.
5. Security and Privacy: The confidentiality and security of personal data must be protected. The privacy of parties must be respected during data collection, storage and processing, and appropriate security measures must be taken.
6. Source Attribution: AI should not be included in footnotes or bibliographies. The use of AI should instead be disclosed in the ethical statement section.
